A380 : L’airbus en attente de commandes… 18/01/18)
18 janvier 2018 / Chroniques du cielLa compagnie Emirates a annoncé ce matin la commande de 36 gros porteurs d’Airbus, des A380-800, (dont 16 options) qui vont s’ajouter aux 142 déjà commandés par la compagnie et viendront remplacer certains appareils livrés à compter de 2007 qui, parmi les 105 en exploitation, seront vendus d’occasion.
En procédant ainsi, Emirates fait d’une pierre deux coups : elle valorise les avions de sa flotte ainsi que les appareils qu’elle va incessamment vendre sur le marché de l’occasion, (les premiers arrivant sur le marché d’occasion avec les premiers livrés à Singapour Airlines), et elle prolonge de 3 ans au moins la chaîne de montage d’Airbus, permettant par là de détendre la pression actuelle sur l’avenir de ce très bel avion qui a du mal à trouver son marché.
Avec 11 ans de travail, l’avion a le temps d’engranger de nouvelles commandes et même d’être modernisé !

Voici l’une de mes interventions. C’était lundi 15 sur la chaîne TV France Info, à 18h30.
Ainsi après cette nouvelle commande, Airbus qui passe progressivement à compter de 2018 à une production de 12 avions / an, se trouve avoir à livrer 133 avions, 11 ans de travail, donc de quoi attendre les beaux jours ! 222 avions sont actuellement en exploitation dans 13 compagnies.
Emirates étant de loin la première.

Dubai, 18th January 2018 – Dubai-based Emirates Airline has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to acquire up to 36 additional A380 aircraft. The agreement was signed this morning at the airline’s headquarters in Dubai by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group, and John Leahy, Chief Operating Officer Customers, Airbus Commercial Aircraft. The commitment is for 20 A380s and an option for 16 more with deliveries to start in 2020, valued at US$16 billion at latest list prices.
Sheikh Ahmed said: “We’ve made no secret of the fact that the A380 has been a success for Emirates. Our customers love it, and we’ve been able to deploy it on different missions across our network, giving us flexibility in terms of range and passenger mix. He added: “Some of the new A380s we’ve just ordered will be used as fleet replacements. This order will provide stability to the A380 production line. We will continue to work closely with Airbus to further enhance the aircraft and onboard product, so as to offer our passengers the best possible experience. The beauty of this aircraft is that the technology and real estate on board gives us plenty of room to do something different with the interiors.”

Following delivery of its first A380 in July 2008, Emirates took its 100th A380 on the 3rd November 2017 in Hamburg.
